Location: Burnsville, MN
Installation of large Makeup Air Units and generator support ductwork at an Xcel Energy power generation facility, which required the installation of ductwork in difficult to access areas. These areas were accessed using large boom lifts and the use of scaffolding. Elevated work areas required additional precautions and coordination with facility and contractor staff to eliminate the risk of potential falling objects and ensure worker safety.
The project required NAC’s coordination with multiple trades, General Contractor, as well as the Owner’s group to ensure near seamless installations as the building was being erected.
NAC’s coordination and pre-construction planning helped deliver this project on budget and on schedule. Our highly trained CAD team was able to overcome multiple elevation issues through organized pre-planning.
This project required heavy coordination with our safety coordinator and staff
to mitigate risks while installing on a platform.
